I don’t think I am the best SEO out there. And I am not the most well-known SEO. But when you have been doing SEO as long as I have, eventually you meet most of the players in the space. And over the years, I’ve met a lot of Google employees. Some of them were in high positions, while others were not. Out of all of the Google employees I met, none of them told me anything that shouldn’t be made public.
Since I first wrote about digital transformation back at the end of 2012, the term has become wildly overhyped. Since CEOs are now at least asking about digital transformation, and every technology vendor now claims expertise in digital transformation, it’s time to burst a few of the myths surrounding digital transformation. But first, let’s recap […].
1. Always be learning. Kate Dillon, CEO, Crate Insider. Digital marketing and social media are constantly changing. While it’s not always easy to keep up, have a great strategy in place so your marketing is effective regardless of the changes the platforms make. Enact a continuous improvement plan for your website. I like to say that a website is never done.
Acquiring a new customer is not cheap. You can spend months nurturing potential buyers through the different funnel stages; engaging with them in a personalized and relevant way across channels and devices; sending them discounts to encourage a purchase; and serving up content to make your brand seem fantastic. Then, finally, you get a new customer over the finish line to buy your product or service.

According to TechCrunch, Amazon sales make up 49.1% of all eCommerce sales and 5% of all retail sales within the United States. If you are looking to add another layer of revenue to your online store, we highly suggest adding Amazon into your omni-channel strategy. When it comes to finding suppliers for products to sell online, most people look towards China and other Asian countries because the price of labor is far cheaper than the United States. But working with Asian vendors comes at a cost. For example… You have to deal with language barriers You have to adapt to cultural differences You have to pay import duties on your goods You have to pay a high cost of shipping from overseas You have to contend with longer lead times for production You have
What do you think the future of SEO is? And no, I am not talking about what Google will look like 10 years from now… I’m talking about how you’ll be able to rank your site in the future. You know, that one thing that’ll just skyrocket your rankings. So, what do you think it is? I can tell you this… it’s not link building and it’s not on-page SEO. Sure, those things help, but they don’t skyrocket your rankings.

It is impossible to overstate the impact automation has on digital transformation. Automation directly impacts customer experience (CX). Software like Reflexis can automate price checks and cut customer wait times by 80%. Robots like Lowesbot can guide customers to the proper aisle to pick up home goods. Automation contributes directly to your bottom line.
Wake up at an ungodly hour. Drive to the office through total gridlock, streets jammed with other half-asleep commuters. Slog through email after mind-numbing email until the sweet release at five o’clock. Sound terrible? What if, instead of dealing with the monotony and stupor of the rat race to earn a few bucks, you could make money at any time, from anywhere — even while you sleep?
We’ve all had that moment of jubilation when a coupon code magically appears while we’re browsing items on an ecommerce site. Often, all it takes is an impromptu pop-up to convince us to move from passive browsers to active buyers. . That feeling of glee only increases when a discount code we’ve dug up on the internet actually works at checkout. How many times have we held our breath, just hoping it wasn’t one of the numerous fake codes floating around on popular third-party couponing sites?
User-generated content is essentially any content created by unpaid contributors or users. It can include anything from pictures, videos, and blog posts to testimonials and comments on discussion boards. User-generated content is typically created or uploaded online, where it is easily shared. But why is UGC such a big deal? And why are corporations spending millions to try and push users to create user generated content?

Most ecommerce business owners focus their efforts and marketing dollars on trying to land new customers. But getting cold traffic to convert is not only hit or miss but expensive as well. In fact, did you know that most entrepreneurs who advertise on Facebook consider a top of funnel ad campaign successful if they just break even? Now how can an unprofitable ad campaign possibly be considered a success?
You’ve heard people telling you that you need to write in-depth content because that’s what Google wants. And it’s true… the average page that ranks on page 1 of Google contains 1,890 words. But you already know that. The question is, should you be writing 2,000-word articles? 5,000? Or maybe even go crazy and create ultimate guides that are 30,000 words?
The need for speed has never been greater. Empowered customers are fickle. Big tech is disintermediating you. Disruptors lurk in the darkest corners of your markets, ready to rise kraken-like to swallow your floundering ship whole. Your prospects are bleak. A depressing way to end the week? Perhaps not. Speed of execution is more vital […].
By 2020, online videos will make up more than 80% of all consumer internet traffic. But if you’re looking around the social media landscape now, you’re probably noticing that video’s already taking over your newsfeeds a few years ahead of schedule. It’s not just video sites like YouTube, either. Facebook and Instagram are focusing more on video, especially with Stories and IGTV rapidly growing in popularity.

What makes the best ecommerce podcasts stand out? It’s more than just providing a good listening experience for your audience.

When you see or hear the term AI, I’m guessing you think it stands for artificial intelligence. It does, of course. But artificial intelligence isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when I think about AI. For me, AI also refers to aesthetic intelligence. I call aesthetic intelligence the other AI.
